This is one of our favorite drills for defense that we use after warming up lateral movements and lateral knee stability. Thanks to the Colombian ultimate programs for gifting this to the world! Offense has ~10 seconds to make moves while defense responds. Once the O passes an inside cone, they have to commit to that direction. Offense wins if they get to the outside cone before the defense gets to the inside cone. Keys on defense - stay low, watch your offender’s hips, and wait to commit your own hips as long as possible using tight shuffles and bail runs so you can stay reactive and drive off your outside leg to turn with your offender. This is a super versatile drill, and it’s massively fun to boot! It’s metabolically challenging and can put a lot of strain on the joints, so start off easy and build up the intensity from there!
